Sneffles Highline trail is one of the great loops on the northern side of Telluride. It can take upwards of 6 hours at a casual pace and perhaps about half the time for those who run the route. There’s actually a race every year and they alternate the direction each year (clockwise or counter-clockwise.
The trailhead actually starts out at the western entrance of the Jud Weibe at the very north end of Aspen Street. After a few switchbacks (15-20 minutes), there’s a fork to the left. continue to the next fork about 30 yards away. At this point, you can go clockwise (left) or counter clockwise (straight ahead) and eventually get back to the same location.
