Deltaphonic brought its New Orleans mix of funk, rock and blues to Telluride on the evening of August 20, performing outside the Sheridan Opera House as part of the free 2026 Oak Street Park SummerSHOW Series.
The video below does not stay for the set. It is a single unbroken ten minute shot that walks away from the band, climbs partway up Tomboy Road, and then comes all the way back down. The music is nearly gone for the first few minutes. Stay with it. Around the six minute mark it returns, and the walk ends directly behind the band.
Walking away from the music, then back
The shot begins partway up Oak Street, already some distance from the performance, and continues uphill as the music thins out behind it.
From there the route joins Tomboy Road, the old mining road that climbs steeply out of the north side of town, and follows it to a panoramic view above the Telluride Historical Museum. At that point the camera turns around and retraces the identical path back toward downtown.
On the way down the process reverses. Deltaphonic emerges from the background and becomes noticeably louder around the six minute mark, and the walk continues along Oak Street until the camera arrives back at the Sheridan Opera House and finishes standing directly behind the band.
The Sheridan Arts Foundation’s Oak Street Park SummerSHOW Series brings free outdoor live music to downtown Telluride throughout the summer. Deltaphonic was the August 20 performance in the 2026 series, following Elder Grown in June and Selasee in July. Mariachi San Jose is scheduled to close out the series on September 24.
